A series of wild and whimsical floral installations for the launch of Hotel Turing Locke. Emilia loved working alongside Locke to create a variety of arrangements for their community brand activation event, including an immersive floral entrance arch, pop-up installation in collaboration with a bespoke aromatherapy experience and smaller arrangements throughout the venue.

Turing Locke is part of the international edyn lifestyle aparthotel brand Locke and shares the site with the Hyatt Centric hotel alongside independent food and drinks establishments, all centred around a courtyard garden.
The brief for this event was an installation to greet guests as they arrived at the event and provide backdrop for photos. With a theme of ‘Midsummer Dream’, we incorporated lots of whimsical summer florals in pretty and earthy tones, with a final look that captured this and blended Fleetwood Mac meets Swedish Midsummer.

Working to the brand brief set out by the client and with an understanding on how guests would move through the various spaces of the event we came up with a couple of design proposals and options on how to maximise impact within the budget. We wanted to create an organic look and play into the garden oasis setting. We incorporated florals and foliage already found within the setting into our displays to create a cohesive and curated look that blended into its surroundings.
We created a bold entrance arch, growing meadow style arrangements throughout and a second smaller installation to accompany a bespoke aromatherapy workshop offered to guests.
Turing Locke is a sustainability conscious development and with this in mind our mechanics were foam free, instead opting for a base of moss and chicken wire that can be reused time and time again. We also used British grown and locally sourced materials where possible.
What the client had to say:
“I wanted to drop you a message to say a HUGE thank you for the most beautiful floral displays at our event last night! Everyone was in awe of how gorgeous the archway & the smaller bunches looked – and of course the display by the perfumery. It was so much fun to work with you!” – Hannah Murphy, Project Manager, New Hotel Openings
