Designed to welcome guests throughout the festive season, this statement floral archway was created for The University Arms, a luxury hotel in the heart of Cambridge.
Framing the entrance with generous layers of winter foliage, the arch was designed to feel both abundant and architectural. Lush evergreen textures formed the foundation of the design, and we added decorations in tones of red to create a striking and eye catching looking. Oversized baubles, berries, and pinecones were woven throughout, adding a sense of warmth and celebration against the hotel’s classic stone façade.
We nestled rattan baskets with skimmia and Christmas trees, in varying shapes and sizes at the bases to add interest and depth to the design, and create the perfect backdrop for photos.
Scale and placement were carefully considered to ensure the installation enhanced the entrance rather than overpowered it. Framed beneath the hotel’s architectural arch and paired with a festive wreath above, the design created a cohesive visual experience that encouraged guests to pause, engage, and step inside.
A bespoke frame, supplied by Wedding Metal Art, mirrored the gentle curve found in the architecture of the grand building, and ensured the design felt intentional and worked harmoniously in the setting.
