During November and December, our team travels across the country designing and installing luxury Christmas decorations and immersive festive installations for both private and corporate clients. Specialising in bespoke Christmas styling, we create design concepts that not only elevate a space but fully immerse guests into the atmosphere of the season.
Last year, we had the pleasure of working alongside The River Terrace, a popular restaurant set along the river in the picturesque town of St Ives, Cambridge. Our brief was to design and install a series of high-end Christmas installations both inside and outside the venue, transforming the space into a warm and inviting festive setting for guests.
We designed a natural and refined festive concept, which centred around a timeless, earthy palette, layered with brushed brass and soft gold tones, complemented by rich shades of brown, burnt orange, and deep green.
We incorporated seasonal foliage and natural textures throughout the design, including dried orange slices, pinecones, and lush evergreen foliage. These elements created a look that felt both refined and festive, perfectly complementing the rustic character of the venue while maintaining a sense of understated luxury.
At the entrance to the restaurant, an oversized Christmas wreath welcomed guests, setting the tone from their arrival.
As guests stepped inside, they were immediately immersed into the design. A bespoke hanging installation above the till and bar area created visual impact, while a large arrangement displayed in an oversized concrete vase elevated the space, adding height and interest.
Within the main restaurant, we designed a striking immersive ceiling installation, suspending hundreds of baubles to create a captivating focal point above the dining area.
Layered alongside were festive garlands of pinecones and dried fruit slices, adding depth, warmth, and a whimsical seasonal touch. Large vase arrangements positioned along each window softened the interior and subtly hinted at the festive atmosphere within, beautifully framing the menus displayed to passers-by.
A key part of the brief was to ensure the terrace remained inviting throughout the colder months.
To achieve this, we added a large, beautifully decorated Christmas tree, adorned with tonal decorations and warm white lighting. The scale of the installation ensured it could be enjoyed from outside, helping to attract attention and increase footfall to the venue.
The addition of heaters and blankets further enhanced the space, creating a cosy, atmospheric setting for guests to enjoy throughout the festive season.
Upstairs, the restaurant features an additional dining area often used for private events. Here, we created an eye catching festive installation on the fireplace, filled with abundant seasonal greenery and softly layered lighting.
The design was finished with carefully curated decorative details, including cascading pinecones and dried fruit, creating a look that felt cohesive with the overall concept.
This project is a perfect example of how immersive Christmas installations can completely transform a hospitality space — enhancing the guest experience while creating a memorable and visually impactful environment.
